co-op
Our village is basically a long road with houses mainly on one side, and there are no shops, so we have to go to a village one way, or a small town in the opposite direction.
I always favour the small village, it is where the boys went to pre-school and our favourite pub is there, and is where all my friends live : )
Also it is a proper village, there is a butchers, bakers and a Co-op! The Co-op is a wonder and also contains our local post office, as you can probably guess I spend a great deal of time there! Today as I was leaving it after getting a few bits I noticed something out of the corner of my eye on the Community notice board.
It was my name! In big black letters on a poster, this stopped me in my tracks, were the Police looking for me, was I a missing person, what did it mean!?!
But no, nothing as exciting as any of those, underneath my name it said, Wet Felting Demonstration, aha, yes I suddenly remembered and then couldn’t remember what todays date was, thankfully I realised that the 3rd March was next week, and then it all came flooding back to me.
I’m doing a wet felting demo for the local Womens Institute next Tuesday, this was booked months ago, so at least I have been reminded about it!
So I need to do some practicing and get all my stuff together, I will let you know how it goes : )
Something like that would be a good end result : )

Your village sounds like a nice place to be. I like village life – noone is anonymous. The felt is beautiful. Is it difficult to make?

You are so lucky to have a butchers and a bakers.
We have a hairdressers and a car stereo shop, really useful then!

Very funny – glad you found out before the demonstration, otherwise your name might have plastered for another reason. Your village sounds lovely (maybe I’m being overly romantic, but I could live in a place like that…sounds great).
