But do you remember it? It was a whole year ago, that my little bag made it appearance into the world in the first copy of SewHip!!

At the time I was so excited about the whole thing I could have burst, now, well it seems like a long long time ago, and for I also only got the bag back a few months ago.

So what now for the bag? Well to start with from next Monday you will be able to download the pattern as a PDF from here, for free!

And, I’m going to be giving away the little bag (with some extra goodies of course) to someone who leaves a comment on this post! I hope it’s a nice giveaway, and I’m sure it will go to a good home, so please leave a comment and you may be the lucky winner!

even though I really do not like the days getting shorter, I love the colours at this time of the year, and the light is stunning.

How can you not smile when you see these : )

Even though I was REALLY worried about doing the photographs for my new bags, I think they worked really well, the colours, and warmth came through. As always I do have favourites, but then again, these are the ones that never seem to sell! Maybe I have bad taste!

Last week I mentioned about schools and Edward, not a bad thing, but the not knowing about secondary schools. I know there are lots of parents currently choosing schools for their children to start at next September, we had to choose a year ago!
I find it very frustrating that we won’t find out until February along with everyone else, and no one has really explained why we had to choose so early : ( Hey-ho, fingers crossed, and here’s hoping that everyone gets there first choice!

One more thing, tomorrow I will be doing a giveaway on the blog, one I meant to do at the start of the September, so only a month late!

at last the shop is updated, yes, I know it is late, but that is the why it goes sometimes!

so I have listed 13 bags tonight, oh yes, I know, it never rains but it pours!

We tried a new location of the photography and I think it looks pretty good, have a look at the other images in the shop and see what you think : )

and sunny, which is what it is here, hope it stays that way, get the washing dry, and more importantly lots of stuff to photograph!

I have 12 bags, 8 pouches, 20 lavender bags, and loads of corsages to photograph! A bit of a session, when I will probably drive John to the end of his tether!!!

We used to have a new place in our loft to do the photos, but something has gone up on the wall, and so now we can’t use that bit : ( The problem is with our house is that the only room with plain neutral walls is the loft, and our landing/stairs. The landing and stairs are really well lit, but you can’t get the right angles : (

We did for a while photograph them on our dining table, but I think they look so much nicer hanging, as they should be seen.

So I have a while to think about it, but mustn’t hang about too much!

I have been working on lots of new designs, and a few old ones, also made some new felt yesterday, which is really yummy, I will be using some of that to make some new pouches.

With the leaves falling outside I’m very aware that we are moving towards what is the busiest time of the year for everyone in the house.

We have both boys birthdays, more birthdays, crafts fairs, wedding anniversary, crafts fairs, music festival and Christmas, then on top of that work and school stuff so all very very busy!

So there will be another post later, when I finally update the shop : )

been quiet on the blog front, mainly due to me counting lots of meat! also still trying to get the routine of school, work and crafting sorted : )
But! I have been making, creating….

and a bit more…..

so as you can see I haven’t been twiddling my thumbs!

All seems to be fine at school, but I do want to discuss something on here about secondary schools and the process of applying, but I’ll save that for later this week!!

If someone had said to me when I was 13, that a variety of pink and darker tones would be favourite colours for me to wear and use in later life I would have shouted at them!
But it’s true, only today was a wearing a top with a base colour of dusky pink, and I have been working of a selection of items made from pink to plum coloured linen, including this,

These are all now ready to photograph and list, they are lavender bag/pincushions if that makes sense! They are little cushions/pillows full of lavender, made from linen with some of my handmade felt and a vintage mother of pearl button for the detailing. They are about 3.5″ square, so what do you think they should be, pincushion or something to have your drawers smell good : ) !!

I know it doesn’t look like much, but it is a start : )

I hope to have at least four new bags in the shop at the start of next week, all very much nature based.

I want to be able to explain to the cats, why it is simply not good enough not coming in until after 2am, or will I be having this conversation later in my life with the boys!

It is also amazing how much housework you can do at this ungodly hour, folding clean clothes, tidying away toys, dusting, and washing up, I did draw the line at hoovering!

If you are wondering why on earth I was staying up for the cats to come in, well we don’t have a cat flap, and since Baggy was shot last year, I’m not prepared to let them stay out all night : (

Thankfully they are in for tonight, and now they are waiting for me to go to bed!

Should be nice for the next couple of days, so lots more sunny walls : )

oh yes, you read that correctly!

I have FINALLY finished some stuff, last night I spent HOURS listing them on Etsy, and then this morning I realised that I really didn’t like the photos, so this afternoon, re-did the pouch ones, and just re-jigged them : )

and I also managed to photograph four corsages, only another 40 to do!

So these are all in the shop now, and I’m really pleased with the pouches, I also have a few other things to list including greetings cards and lavender bags/pincushions! Also have 4 almost finished totes, and some more designs in progress! Phew : )

Maybe some wip images tomorrow!

The boys have gone back to school, now trying to get our routine set again, much better already!
