it is nice to make something a bit different, so after the success and lack of swearing at making a coasters I thought I would make a set, or three!

These will be on Etsy later, I hope, but I have to make Gingerbread Men tonight, as it is Williams birthday tomorrow, he will be six!! Unbelievable in a way, and he is also have a little birthday tea with a few friends, though one is unable to come, as she has a swimming lesson, hmmm, do I smell????

oh yes, I do. Sorry I’m writing like I’m talking to a 2 year old! Sorry about that! What do you think, I have lots of odds and ends of linen, and I was working an something else and I got that feeling that I must try something, and this was the result : )

Quite pleasing to the eye, and to hold, I’m considering maybe doing some for the fair I have this Saturday, but I shall run it by his highness first, see what he thinks!

You may have noticed two things, or not. I had listed three new bags, well two have not sold, I have removed them, I was not happy with them, and I felt the quality was simply not good enough for my shop on Etsy . So these will be sold off more cheaply on the next two fairs.

I also wrote a post on here last night and then deleted it, I was being a tired old hag, but some of the contents may rear its ugly head again, it was mainly about the bags I listed and then removed, me not being happy with them, what does everyone like, etc etc. Now you can understand why I got rid of it!

So working away, need to find some black thread, more soon : )

Today I managed to finish the three bags I had that I started over a month ago! One of them looks like this,

I was sent some lovely line lace tape, so I squeezed a little bit of that in, and I’m very pleased with how it looks, and so the most important bit, the front!

So I guess now ‘EB’ makes sense, I hope so, and I hope she likes it : )

I ‘hope’ to have some more bags in the shop later, but the car has to be taken to be done : ( Argh, money slipping away!!!

I’m not going to harp on about it, but William had a really good day today, a shame his teacher missed it through illness…….

Today I have done a couple of things, I did this,

This is a bag that was commissioned by a friend for her daughter who collects a well known ceramics company’s items : ) So this bag is codename ‘EB’ I don’t think I need to say anymore! I finished it too late to get a photo in good light, so I will grab one tomorrow morning before I deliver it to her!

I have to say I’m really pleased with it, and John thinks it’s one of my best!

The other thing I have done today – are you bored yet? Is take some photos and prepare them for my sister in law for her Etsy shop, I won’t show you one until she has put them live herself, but I think they have come out well, it was more of a challenge than I thought it would be.

Well lets deal with last night first, I managed to complete the bags in time, and finished they look like this,

But I did not sell one bag, nope not one, I think they were too expensive for the good ladies of Winchester, but nevermind, you live and learn, and I may adjust my prices accordingly for my next two, we shall see.

However the night was not a disaster, I had a couple of glasses of mulled wine, very nice, and I sold 11 corsages!! Oh yes, my hunch was right, and all day Tuesday sticthing and cutting was totally worthwhile : )

So a good evening, and now I have to finish three half made bags, do a special commissioned bag, and make more corsages!

Ok, onto this morning : ) It was another meeting about the angel that is William! Well he is no angel at all at the moment, and we have having a hard time with him at home, as well as they are at school, so I had no problems with what they told me their plans are, it all seems fine to me.

However….

and you knew there would have to be one….

It now appears that members of the teaching staff at Williams school read my blog, Hello!!! The head teacher had a word with me about it this morning : P

Now I knew in the past that Edward told his LSA about it, and she reads it and even left the odd comment or two, which I really do appreciate, obviously the ones who have looked recently fall into the ‘lurker’ category, and well that is fine too : ) But, they have taken things I have written about school, Williams situation and my annoyance very personally, for which I’m sorry.

But, the way I’m looking at this is this, I’m already on the outside at school, I have had one ‘difficult’ child move to a special needs school, I now have another child being, to put it bluntly, ‘a pain in the arse’, and I don’t live in the village. I’m very much on the edge, a few mums talk to me, which I really appreciate, but on the whole I don’t have many people to talk to about my experience of the school other than you lot, sorry that sounds a bit off, but ‘you lot’ know what I mean!!

So I’m not going to stop talking about school, however, I will try to turn down my meanness, lol!!!!

oh yes, too many, and sorry it seems to have been so long!

1. The site is now working again! But, and there had to be one, we found the problem, and it was the ‘Pay it Forward’ post that did it, but I do know the three, and I will do a post about that in the next few days!

2. Where are the bags?! Well here are some,

There are 14 of them in total, 7 of each sort, and tomorrow I need to sew all their tops up : )

I have also made three pieces of felt tonight to make corsages with. This is all for….

3. Christmas Shopping Evening in Winchester tonight, it is tonight now as it is 00.25am according to my computer right now! I’m really not ready, but it does mean that,

4. I have made all my listings on Etsy inactive ready for the fair.

5. I’m no longer employed by Paperchase, but today I’ve worked my socks off, and it has been an INSET day too, but considering his recent behavior, William was very good : )

6. I think I ought to go to bed, though Edward has just woken up, so maybe I won’t be going to bed just yet!!!

Next week I have my first craft/shopping event, whooooo! It is at Western Primary School in Winchester, and is between 7.30 and 9.30 pm on Tuesday 20th, come along if you are in the area : ) So I have to work hard on my stuff, and lots too, becuase when I look around I don’t seem to have much to take : (

Also today I have looked at the last posting dates for Christmas, and it is as follows;

to the UK – 20th December

to Europe – 13th December

to the USA – 10th December

to the rest of the world – 7th December

now of course I may be able to send after those dates, but can makes no promises on if it will get to you before Christmas, I think sometimes they are too cautious, but this is the Royal Mail, and they work in strange ways : )
