oh yes, no sweets this year for us!

I’m so fed up with Halloween, it boils my head, I know quite of a few of you disagree with my opinion, but I cannot abide it. When I was pregnant with Edward, his due date was 22nd October, and good god was I glad that I was still pregnant come 1st November!

So this year, as I’m fed up with feeding the lane and their children with sweets, I offered Satsumas : ) And so to avoid any upsets I put a poster on the door, saying that I would only be offering fruit! I heard two lots come to the door, read and then go, boys by the sound of them, but we had another 3 lots come to the door and happily take them, so that’s what we will do in the future : )

The three lots that took the fruit all had parents and all said what a good idea, and were pleased, so I sit here looking smug!

However, you know when you think everything is sorted and that you can get a little part-time job, and not worry, well apparently, I now have ‘problems’ with William at school : ( And what a suprise it is with the same teacher that Edwards problems started with. Now I know they are very different, but I wish this academic year was over already, it has taken just over 7 weeks for the first cracks to appear, I had hoped for longer. William does not have Aspergers, he has been observed twice, and we have a report saying he does not ‘exhibit’ any of the signs. But I have a meeting next Wednesday morning to discuss his ‘behaviour’ – yay! I will keep you informed, and Mum, I will call you tomorrow night about this, when I’m a bit calmer : )

This Friday I have book group, and it’s my book,

oo that’s tiny! It is H G Wells, and it is the Island of Doctor Moreau, I wanted to choose something different, and I think I have : ) I hope that it will create some interesting discussion, or maybe just everyone will just hate it!

at last…no actually they have not been so bad, ate tea ok, and not too much shouting, I think going back to school has done the trick : )

Half term didn’t end up so well, I don’t know what the problem was, but Edward had some pretty bad ‘episodes’ stuff we have not had for quite a while : ( But now he is back at school he is fine. We have also discovered that Fanta does NOT agree with him, you think you are being nice and it is a treat, but no it is a nightmare the following day, let that be a lesson to us, and everyone else : )

Have started the new job, going ok so far, people seem nice, though there is one girl who may be a problem, but after this week it shouldn’t be, so overall ok. I’ve only done 4 hours each day so far, Thursday is my full day, so that will be the test, but should be cool.

Now onto far more important things, totes/bags!

haven’t got much time, William ‘has’ to play on Cbeebies, so here is a sneak peek,

..it is funny what can inspire you, for me it has been the front cover of this months edition of Country Living, as soon as I saw it I could see a bag using the colours and shapes : )

Working on this, and two more linen bags, more couture than everyday, though I have got fabric out for 3 of those as well.

It is all very busy at the moment, with half term now, and next week, I start a proper job for the first time in 10 years!!!! I’m a bit nervous, mainly about giving up time at home, but we shall see how it goes : )

It isn’t full time, 23 hours per week, but it is for a period of time every week day, so should fit in well with the children, I hope.

Not the best of timings as we are also coming into the busiest time of the year for craft fairs etc, but I hope to cope with it all.

For those of you waiting on corsages, I have not forgotten you! I have felt making on my list and I hope to be doing some this weekend.

I sit here, with a cup of tea, and wonder why, wonder why children do this to their parents and siblings….

So as Edward chose to wake both myself and his brother up at 5.25am, he did not choose what DVD to keep them quiet until a decent time of the morning, William did, so it’s Charlie and Lola for the next couple of hours : )

and oh my, aren’t they! and William smelt them on me, and then gave me the Spanish inquisition about the smell, where it had come from.

Yep, I managed to get a copy of the first issue of mixtape from their Etsy shop, and I have pre-ordered the second issue, you’d better get there quick!
