do you know….
….how hard it has been to find nice cord to buy? Blooming hard, but no photos yet as it has been washed and is drying on the line at the moment : )
I do have a photo though,
I made the brownies for Book Group, we all take food, and I nearly always take brownies, but to be honest I don’t care for them in the way I used to : ( But they taste damn fine! They are a variation on a Nigella recipe from the wonderful book How to be a Domestic Goddess. This book creates the most wonderful house filling smells ever!
While I have the chance I would like to thank everyone who has bought something from my Etsy over the past week, you are all stars, I you are wonderful, you have made a hard weekend so much better : )

Now how do I know you are going to have found the greatest cord imaginable? Because you always do sniff out brilliant fabrics.
Hope the week improves.

Spooky – I’ve just made Nigella’s Rocky Road Crunch bars from Nigella Express – its in the fridge setting. And on Saturday I went to look for denim or cord after being inspired by your bags. I found cord in a market hall that I was told was brown (poor lighting) but in the daylight looks a dirty dark olive brown. Not a nice chocolate brown that I wanted. Practical but definately not pretty. I guess buying nice cord is harder than it sounds. :0)

do you want to hear a funny story about the english postal strike? its Mr greenolive’s birthday today (oct 10, he’s 38) and for the first time ever since he’s been here is Australia her birthday card hasn’t arrived in time. She blamed it on the postal strike and at first he didn’t believe her! i could nod my head knowingly and tell him it finished today. do you think they stopped to think about the ramifications for libran sons living in Australia expecting birthday cards? clearly not!
