Winchester Art Market
Today was the second time I took part in the art market in Winchester, the third time it has run.
I shared a pitch with Kate, and I made less sales, but more interest, if that makes sense! And I had one person make me a crazy offer!
My corsages are £7.50, which I think considering the quality of my work and the materials I use, is a very fair price, however, one gentleman, thought it was perfectly fair to offer me £6 instead, and he seemed quite shocked when I said no! And guess what, he bought it anyway!
Now I have quite a bit of stock, I need to do a photo shoot to get it all on the web, I hope we can do that this week, fingers crossed!

Your hanging bags look really good and your table is so colourful. Some people do have all the cheek!! Well, he obviously realised that the quality of your work merited paying the asking price!

Well, good for you for not caving and dropping your price by 20% just to get a sale – and congrats on still getting the sale!
I love the bag I bought from you at Handm@de – it’s currently looking after my latest crochet project!

Having bought one of the corsages I can vouch for the quality. I think the word “market” is at fault here – people for some reason think they can haggle. I’m glad you didn’t let him get away with it!
