trying to catch up
this is going to be a post of many things, trying to get ready for next week! Next Week!!!! So yes, I’ve been mounting up stuff, I have also been trying to get other stuff done, costings on balloons etc.
Here is a pretty picture!
This is the piece I made before the bark piece, and is more simple, and more stinky too, as I have used quite alot of the hemp fibre, which to be honest snells like I’ve picked it out of a pig pen!
I have also made this piece recently;
This has been mounted up, ready to be sold, I hope! Still deeply unsure on my prices, very difficult, have tried asking people opinions, but friends are just nice, and difficult asking strangers!
I have also made these two bags;
I will do another post later about the other stuff I’m trying with the machine, though tonights sewing will of course be cut short by the next episode of Lost!!!

I visit here because I know I will find beautiful work.
As to pricing……………when buyers select for retail outlets, mark up is always 50%. When selling direct to the public yourself, how about the cost of materials, the cost of venue and your hourly rate ( do not undersell your creativity) and then reduce by 20%?,if this is your first sell? Then when you are a huge and enormous success, you can charge what you like!!
Have only sold a few bits myself and am always surprised what people will or will not buy.
Good luck. Will be interested to see how you go.
