pretty little bag

I’ve been planning to get my sewing machine out for months, and you know it is one of those things, where I think, it takes up too much room, too much noise, blah, blah, excuse, excuse! So yesterday I needed it, as I wanted to try something out (that is another entry altogether!), so I made this as well!

Isn’t it cute! I must admit I’m so pleased with it, I used to make bags for myself years ago, but I have not made anything like this for about 12-13 years!!!! So this is it, the lovely stripey needlecord is from a shirt that I got in our local charity/thift shop. I love it, just so lovely and funky, yummy! I bought some cheap lining fabric, well not cheap, but it was an off cut, so it was cheap, does that make sense, and woo-hoo, a bag!

It measure about 5 inches square, and the handles add about another 2.5 inches to it, just right for a pretty little girl!
