quiet… at the moment…
… yes they are watching a DVD to make sure John gets a bit more sleep, he has a terrible cold, well flu really, as I have over the past week, hence lack of photos, writings etc. So far the boys have not got the bug, and I really hope they don’t, not now, not at Christmas : ( It will make it so awful for them, and probably even worse for us!
This past week we have had school plays/nativities for both of the boys, and both of them did really well. Edward got to have a major role, and is the first time he has been in a performance with any level of input. He was the ‘director’ of his class performance : ) A role he was born for! He is in the white shirt,
The whole school took the theme of ‘Under the Sea’, and Edwards class did ‘Octopus’s Garden’ which was really lovely : )
No photos of Williams performance, mainly because you can see all the other childrens faces, and I don’t want the trouble that may get me! He did really well, but was very distracted by me. I sat by the aisle and he could see me very clearly, but he played his Glockenspiel really well and he enjoyed himself, so he was happy, so mission accomplished!
I was debating how to split this post, but I’m not going to, so it will be a ramble!
Yesterday we visited Father Christmas at Hillier Gardens near Romsey. I think it is the third year we have now gone to that one, and it is so lovely. This years theme is ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’, and as always it is a proper grotto,
It is so lovely, and the Father Christmas that comes here is lovely too, and remembered the boys, which is great, it is open until Christmas Eve, and a big recommendation from us if you are in the area : )
I will write more later, have more to write about, but I need to sort the boys out now, time for breakfast I think : )

I laughed knowingly at your seating comment – these days I have learned that it’s far better to hide in the middle of a couple of rows back. Partly because I cry at nativity plays but also because Mark tries to talk to me if he can see me clearly.
We’ve missed out on Santa so far this year – I’m feeling a bit guilty about that.
