when cake is also…
….lego!
note to self, do not make cakes with cherries in Lego mould again! Out of six, this was the only one that was fully formed!
If you are interested it came from Legoland Windsor, and we only bought it a month ago, so if you go there I’m sure you would be able to get it : )

I have a set of sillicone star cake moulds, but they are a total bugger to get cakes out of intact. One out of six doesn’t sound an unfamiliar hit rate to me! And that’s with a plain cupcake mix. Aaaargh.
Lego cakes though – they’re worth it.

Scrummy cake and lego shaped too – would definitely be a hit in our house!

These are great! I have never seen them actually made into cakes, and someone told me they were jelly moulds, but I guess the jelly would be as difficult to get out as the cakes.
I know you can also get these online at http://www.legoshop.com for anyone who doesn’t live close to LEGOLAND windsor.
I think you should send a pic of your cake to LEGO UK, I know a few people there who would definitely like this :o)

I posted a comment a moment ago but it didn’t seem to work so I hope you get this one.

I actually thought this was jelly mould, but just goes to show that it can be used to make cakes too. For anyone who does not live close to LEGOLAND, you can also buy these in the online LEGO shop.
