another craft fair ……..
whatever….. yes, another depressing day sitting in a village hall with people swanning by, however, even though it was not a good day, it was not the quality or range of my goods which was at fault!
It was poor for everyone, not just me. I know that shouldn’t make me feel good, but it does! Basically there were no customers, and the people who did come in, mainly looked or bought tat! Nobody really picked up or touched my stuff, they flicked through my mounted pieces, and Johns photos, but the things that you would feel and enjoy the tactile experience of just didn’t happen as it should.
So I put this down to the learning curve! Yes Julie, it was ‘abother’ lol, but I did in the end sell £120 of stuff, but that was all to one other stall holder! Every cloud……

The stall looks really good, but I think some of the problem is apparent in this photo.
Your framed pieces of work are artworks more than craftworks. You need to get them in a gallery! You need people viewing them as the pieces of art that they are.
To me they don’t look right on the table. Let’s try and make this happen.

Hi,
I’m curious – how do you find it goes down when you sell framed pictures along with little 3D art/craft items? I’m a photographer (0olong on Flickr, where I saw this link) and a sculptor of small creatures (http://fergusmurray.members.beeb.net/colmod.htm) and I’ve been thinking about selling both sorts of things on one stall (and, er, maybe also t-shirts), but thought people might find it jarring… but maybe I worry too much?
Hope you more than covered your expenses there!
Regards
