sunday morning
is all about boiled eggs, cricket on the radio, and screaming children!
Now the teacher pressie are finished, still need to wrap and label, I’m starting work on new bags, including another order for the shop I’m now supplying : )
This is a close up of one of the bags they will be receiving,
If the holidays are to go on today’s screaming, shouting, arguing, then we are not going to have a great time : (
Why can’t children play with their own things and leave each other alone! My two are not playing with the same toy at all, but they just get in each others way, they seem to be drawn together like magnets!
Oh well, positive thinking is in order, and trying to ignore them!!

i guess the reason for this is that nothing compares to the joy of irritating your sibling?
not that i know as i’m an only child and my two have ten years between them – mind you they still like a bicker!
have a great summer holiday – we just need sunshine so we can shove ’em out into the garden!

I find announcing a prize for the person who is nices to his brother works a treat. At least for a little while!
Siblings – tsk tsk.

You could try keeping a “Reward Jar”? A lady I know has 3 kids. When any one of them does something good/helpful/co-operative etc, she puts a coin in the Kids’ Jar. If one of them is unhelpful/unkind/unco-operative, one or more coins are removed and placed in “Mum’s Jar”. The children know that all their behaviour influences this process. They also have to negotiate what to use their joint money for, as they are allowed to spend it at certain intervals. They are aged around 11-14, so money works well. You could use buttons or beads and offer treats as a reward?
My own policy with warring siblings would be to make them separate if they can’t be kind to each other. Tell them that if they can’t be respectful to one another and leave their siblings alone / play co-operatively, they must each play in a different place (thus depriving them of both company and the means to start fights!!). Enforce it rigorously and they may well begin to see the light!
