About 6 months ago I decided that I wanted to take part in Hampshire Artists, this is an event that runs for approximately 10 days at the end of August/beginning of September.
It is a way for Hampshire based artists to run an open studio, or open their house as a gallery for this period of time, and hopefully through being in the Hampshire Artist brochure and exhibition trial, get their profile raised.
When I decided that I wanted to do this I was very very slowly building a portfolio, now I have started making my own felt I have speeded up, but I want to get everything right.
I’m sharing the exhibition time and space with my husband, John, who is known as Sparkgun for his photographic work.
I’m nervous about this but also very excited, I’m looking to the promotion of it all and all my worked being framed or mounted.
It seems such along way off but I know that it will all arrive much quicker than I expect! I will keep you updated with my progress.
