lurve monster!!!
As I mentioned in a previous post, my lovely husband, John, had a operation yesterday. He had his gall bladder removed after suffering from gall stones for about the past 2/3 years. He was meant to have it done before Christmas, but he had a very bad cough, and so it was delayed until yesterday.
I wanted to make him something to say get well, and how much he means to me, so I made this little chap!
Cool isn’t he! The fabric suits him perfectly, I bought this from a quilting and sewing shop in Tavistock while on holiday last year, and I had forgotten about it until I was searching for something suitable yesterday.
I had thought about doing plainer eyes and a more complicated mouth, but I think what I’ve done gives a lot more character to him. And of course a lovely heart 🙂
I may be tempted to make more, but I don’t what I would do with them, the craft market seems to be quite saturated with this sort of thing, and I don’t want to end up with monsters I don’t know what to do with!
More soon!

Awwwwww! To paraphrase Pooh somewhat, how could anyone be uncheered with a blue spotty monster?

Hey, I’ve just thought…if you send it to me at work I can get it to our suppliers in Taiwan to get some fart noises added to it to make it more realistic! 😉

He’s fab!! You definitely ought to make more for although there are plenty of softies out there he does have a ton of personality, the colours are gorgeous and that heart is perfect! Lucky old John – hope he makes a swift recovery.

Thanks, everyone!
I am getting better every day, although I feel as tired as hell today (maybe it’s because I have some work to do).
