a ray of sunshine
not the real weather though, very overcast here, and snowing again! Both boys at school today, yesterday William was off as there were not enough staff, and I had to take Edward in, as the ‘transport’ couldn’t come and get him, pah! It was ok as we had his annual review which went very well : )
So the ray of sunshine, well that would be this,
just looking at it makes me feel warm : )
I’m also making a pair to this, so I hope to start on that now.
My inspiration has been Eric Carle, and I hope the next one is as successful as this one : )

I’m so glad to see there is some sunshine somewhere in the UK at the moment and what beautiful sunshine it is too! We certainly need a little to counter all this snow! Great that the review went well too.

Did you know, it’s the very hungry caterpillar’s 40th birthday this year? Eric Carle is wonderful.

Thank goodness all the snow has gone from Belgium, living in the country makes it difficult for me to take the pushchair out with all that snow!
The colours are gorgeous, very warming I agree.

I always loved Eric Carle’s books when I was little! Especially the caterpillar 🙂 These have turned out to be really really nice. I love the little stitched box that moves off of its applique. And these colors will surely chase all of our snow away! Even yours 🙂

Eric Carle cuts up paper which he’s painted with bold textures and colours, so I can see how you’ve used his work as inspiration – they turned out much nicer than I expected!
