must…stop….now!
I promise you will see some textile stuff again very soon, but yesterday I got the change to play with Kates torch, kiln and lovely glass selection!
Oh yes, I made four, but two aren’t really good enough, but this one is lovely!
I tried to use a similar colour palette on this next one, but rather than solid colours, use more transparent glass, and some lovely silver blobs,
I could have sat there all day doing it, it was so enjoyable, but I will get back to bags today! Lampworking is great, but expensive on the tools side, a kiln, torch, etc, also having somewhere to use it, don’t think our spare bedroom is really suitable!
Kate had also made me new pendant last week, and yesterday I got some leather cord to put it on, it is divine!
It feels so nice, and it sits really nicely on the neck and chest, I’m totally in love with it, she does have some more in her shop, and I think she may be making some more similar discs next week.
I will try to do another post later about my stuff, do you remember what that is?! Oh yes, bags!!

What a fabulous friend to have. Sounds like you have both been having lots of fun in the new shed. Am trying to persuade my husband to buy one of Kate’s pendants for my birthday. Here’s hoping!

They’re beautiful. You’re obviously having a lot of fun with your friend. Perhaps you’ve discovered a new hobby. Have you ever seen the work of Poppy Treffry? There’s something about her style which reminds me of you. (Hope you’re not offended!)

These beads are so lovely – I can’t believe you’re a beginner!

Beautiful beads! I’ve always wanted to try lampworking but the cost of supplies has kept me from doing it. How fun that you have a friend with all the goodies!
