tra-la!
They are done, and in the shop,
However, that one, the dandelion one has already gone, and went in under 5 minutes I think, because I had a lurker! And I thought she was just being nice with her previous comments, now I know better!
But this one,
Is still there, and looking lovely, and very reasonably priced I feel : )
So they are done, and now the next ones. I had a crisis, I had started another blue and brown one, and the idea seemed so good in my head, probably too good, and then, well cut out and laid out, it just didn’t work, at all : ( So I think I will save that idea for another day, and work on some others first.
Ok, Australia, big island, not that many people, you know the place, well I sold both of these lovely cushions to go to a lovely lady in Sydney, I’d been really careful when working out the postage prices, because I knew I could get stung big time otherwise. So I got a great big box, and wrapped them up, sealed in the cushions, and happy, because it was nice and light and well wrapped.
Got to the post office, said to my the fab lady in charge ‘It’s going to Australia’ to which she laughed, hmm, not the reaction that I expected, then it all got expensive! Putting them in the box, together, was a bad move, it suddenly became £30 to send them!!! Almost the value of the cushions!!! I was advised to go away, do the separately, and go back. So I did this, and of course, it was fine, and they have gone. So remember folks, don’t send massive parcels to the land of Oz unless you are prepared to spend some serious dosh!
Ok, more stuff, William and the amazing poo story!
Well he has pooed, almost every day since Friday, woohoo, however it has not improved his behaviour, and today I had to collect him before lunch today…….. what can I say, it is almost like he is going through terrible twos again, has anyone else had a 6 year boy do this? Please?
Well enough of poos and parcels, tomorrow, more nice things, I promise!

Fab news about the poo!, and the bag, and the cushions (it’s so bizarre how it can be cheaper to send 2 parcels rather than one…!)
Sorry – my boy is only 2 so a little way off from yours but I think boys can get a bit stroppy in their first couple of years at school. Probably a power struggle thing? (my friend’s 5 yr old is a bit like it – fab one min and a nightmare the next. Boys – they’re mysterious, aren’t they?!).

Because of the crazy postage rates to the world outside the EU I mostly make stuff for my etsy shop that I can fit in an envelope. I think it is wiser to incorporate some of the postage price in the product if you sell bigger stuff. It feels like a better deal for the customer. Just a thought.
Love your dandelions!

Oh I know what you mean about Australia postage. We have cousins over there and last year I volunteered to collect all the presents and send them as one parcel. Big mistake – the parcel was going to cost over £40 to send but was advised to make it into smaller parcels. So returned home and made three smaller parcels which ended up costing less than £20 to send. Bonkers. Surely it is easier to pick up one box than it is to pick up three?
No advice re stroppy 6 year old boys. I have a bone idle sloth aged 2 who could be dry if he felt like it but is far too lazy to think about going to the loo and would rather walk around in wet trousers all day. I despair!

I’m so absolutely chuffed that I snagged the bag – it was love a first peek!
The postage thing is such a pain and makes absolutely no sense – I’m glad you got it sorted though.
Hope that William has a calm day today and that things work themselves out quickly for him and you.
