never made anything like this before, and I was scared!!<\/p>\n

I really loved it by the time I finished it and when it was wrapped up and ready to give!!! Just nerves I’m sure!!
\nI made the felt, and spent ages adding in the different textures and colours, making sure it was really well felted and would not fall apart!
\nThen having to cut it, and having a panic, what if I’d cut off too much!! Argghhhhh!!!
\nI put it together using blanket stitch, which was ok, but I still wonder if maybe I should have just used the machine, but that adds another level of being scared of mucking it up!<\/p>\n

Fastenings! Now that was tricky, went with buttons in the end as you can see, I had started with magnetic fasteners, but they were too strong and I’m really glad I took them off and put buttons on with buttonholes.<\/p>\n

I think the buttons shimmer nicely, and bring out the lighter pieces in the felt.<\/p>\n

I’m really pleased with it as a finished piece. I made it as a present for my son’s LSA, who is lovely, and he said today that he is already missing her… only another 6 weeks to go sweetie!<\/p>\n

I’m not sure if I would make many of these, I worry too much about things breaking and not being strong enough, I don’t think I have the nerve!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
